frick that. Paying people not to riot is asinine. Punishing them appropriately when they do riot is the answer. There should have been firing squads lined up in front of all of the looters in 2020.
Do you want to enact pragmatic policies or aim for pie in the sky shite like this? The US will not as a matter of policy start mass executing looters in the street.

It should not be the burden of middle-class taxpayers to take care of these people from cradle to grave because they're too low IQ to understand impulse control.
The "middle class" only pays an average rate of 14.8% and up to maybe 14 or 15% of the total taxes paid as of tax year 2020. If the tax code eliminating a lot of exemptions for certain income like muni bond interest and Roth IRAs, you could perhaps lower the rates on everyone and pay less tax but then the government loses the social engineering aspect that the tax code gives them.
Contrary to popular belief, the 1% pay all the taxes in this country at 22.2% of total AGI but 42.3% of total taxes paid.

Do you have hard data to show how pervasive this "welfare queen" problem is?
If living on welfare is so awesome, why don't you quit working and become a welfare king?

Rewarding bad decision making is how to destroy a society.
Agreed. We are living with the repercussions of policy decisions made decades before we were alive or could vote.
Incremental change is probably better than your shoot all looters and having people starve in the streets. Those are not winning policy prescriptions and will never get you elected and into power in the current political climate.

Go look up where the money goes.
There are generations of non working families. If you have any sort of memory think back to when a black man was elected president.
