Absolutely. There are plenty of examples of absolute power. I differentiate Hitler by, as the OP said; “the way he rose to the top”. I don’t think we’ll ever see someone single-handedly induce the kind of fervor that he did with just his voice. Persuasion rather than force. The next one will have many layers and will be supported by numerous actors and tools.
