Right, because Russia is going to steamroll Eastern Europe! Never mind the fact that Ukraine and Russia have hated each other for the last century, the only thing we are doing is escalating a regional conflict, not saving democracy or protecting NATO

Old Soviet lands, it’s irrelevant either way. We are not the World’s police force and Ukraine isn’t our ally and has never been. If Eastern Europe feels inclined to step in, then so be it but the argument that we are defending democracy is idiotic

I run my finances like a good thrifty Scotsman. I wish the nation had a similar view on our collective finances. In the 1960's a very wise mentor told me "There are Republican road contractors and there are Democrat road contractors" but it took me another 20 years to fully understand what they were actually saying.
