Both of mine are plugged into GFCI receptacles. I would check to see if that is tripped first. Mine have done it several times with power outages.

And if this is the case, remember that GFCI receptacles get more and more sensitive to tripping the more they trip. This happened with my grandma's freezer in the garage. It would trip monthly, then weekly, then daily, until I replaced it.

We unplugged, plugged back in after flipping circuit breaker back on. We did have a problem with resetting one of your receptacles. My dad also changed the fuse and when he changed it it blew again. He even unplugged it and changed it and it still blew. We called out B&D plumbing and the guy said the Rheem was 14 years old and lucky it lasted this long as this is not a good tankless brand.

A couple questions for you guys. Do you think that having issue with resetting the receptacle is a bigger problem. Should I just trust the B&D guy?

Next question, if I have to go buy another tankless water heater, what brand would you guys suggest?

Looking for a good brand and a decent price point.
