Several mistakes got us the problems we have today.
1. Bringing slaves from Africa
2. Creation of Federal Reserve
3. 19th Amendment
4. Not dissolving the MIC and intelligence agencies post WW2
5. Great Society/Welfare state creation
6. Endless wars to feed the MIC from Vietnam to present day
7. Patriot Act
8. Failure to secure the border
I forgot to add Nixon normalizing trade with communist China leading to them to become an economic power while costing the U.S. tons of manufacturing jobs
