But the alternative is feeling like an old person sitting down to watch Englebert Humperdink perform.
I went to a Prince concert at UNO. Had assigned 3rd row seats right in the middle. Prince would start jamming, everbody in front of me stood up. I had no choice but to stand just to see, but I wasn't opposed to standing as it was Prince getting you into a groove.
In the 4th row, sitting (not standing) directly behind me, was former Saints NT Tony Elliot who angrily told me "Sit your arse down, boy". I tried to explain I can't see otherwise, he wouldn't hear it, so for a good 15 minutes, I half-arse sat on the folded seat that automatically flips into an upright position. He was intimidating. It was very awkward. He eventually tried to get security to make the first 3 rows sit. They basically told him no can do. He & his group eventually left.

I'm probably not the target demo for this question beucase I rarely go to concerts, but when I go the only reason I go, 100%, is to hear the band play their music that I enjoy. With that in mind I want to sit down and take it in and enjoy it. I don't need to stand to hear, and IDGAF about dancing.

I'm unbelievably lucky in that my wife works for a large venue. The CEO has a stash of unmanifested tickets. Basically, there are quite a few seats that aren't for sale. Either to hand out to donors/etc., or for family and friends of the acts themselves. Even for the most popular sold-out shows, he always gives my wife a few if he knows we are going. We get general admission tickets no matter what, but way better to use the good seats.
The main seats we get are in the first row of the second section back from the stage. Basically behind the soundboard. No one is ever in front of us and we are raised up above the sound board. No obstructed view, center stage, and never have to stand up . I can get into music and every so often one of the bands I truly want to see passes through. It's so nice to not have to stand up if I don't want to.
