He was a damn $1.25 an hour flunky, it’s not like he was “placed” in some position.
And as far as “not having any help,” you’re telling me that it’s metaphysically impossible for a former Marine … who inherently because of that was a better shot than the average schmuck … to make a shot at 100 yards with a 4x scope?

Wouldn't it not be easier to shot JFK on S. Houston Street before taking a left on Elm from the 6th Floor of the book Depository?
