Back when they were still good, it seemed like slices (maybe scraps) of roast beef that were seasoned, rolled into a log and held together with meat glue. Then sliced crosswise into patty shapes.

So I made the Steak, Egg and Cheese Bagel this morning.

Starting the onions.

Burger patties cooked.

Eggs cooked.

Onions done.

I mixed a little mustard and mayo with a heavy sprinkle of dill weed. Here it is spread on the bagel halves.

Finished Steak egg and Cheese Bagel. Cheese was cheddar slices from Trader Joe's.

Assembling this was a lot of work for a quick breakfast. The beef patty was definitely the weak component. McD's probably used a lot more salt than I did, which would obviously enhance the taste, but my wife and I are salt-restricted.

Overall, I'd give this attempt a 5 out of 10. Kind of dissapointed with the taste really.
