We don’t do anything well, how are we well coached?

Big difference in having basketball & athletic talent and being able to run sets and be in the right places.
All you have to do is look at offensive in-bounds plays. MM designs them well and we sometimes get quick baskets against , almost every game, better talent than is wearing the P&G.
We don't move laterally well toward loose balls or rebounds, are a step slow everywhere, and seem to fall down very often when trying to make an athletic play. That is not a coaching deficit, that is lack of talent to compete with more talented players.
If MM can get 3-4 more athletic players next year, I believe that we have a chance to slip into the NCAAs.

This to me is our biggest problem. We got beat 28-8 on second chance points - therein is the difference in the game.

Baker has been great offensively the last 3 - well the last 2-1/2 games....the unfortunate truth is he has to be because he gives us no defense, rim protection or rebounding. Thus we score over 90 points but can't come close to winning.

I'm almost at the point where you try a more athletic lineup with Reed and Fountain down low for a while to see how that works, instead of always going either Baker/Dean automatically. While they are not great either at boarding or defending, they are a bit better and give some better defensive versatility. Hell at least give it a try for one 4-minute stretch and see, we can always go back to the standard if it fails.
