I used a cane some after slipping a disk in my back last year. Using a rollator (4 wheels, bicycle handles, and seat) still at times.

Medicare gave Dad the whole kit except wheelchair when he got weak. Medicaid has offered same to me. Free, delivery and assembly included.

ETA: my paternal grandfather had 2, a daily and a fancy dress one. Have held armed canes too, both sword and pistol. (Barrel was the handle)
