The captivity phase was a different animal and well outside the 8th Amendment for incarcerated individuals. I’m lol’ing a little because especially at the water board interrogation phase I remember telling myself over and over “there’s Doc he won’t let them harm you, you can hold out” 45 seconds later I’m babbling like a freaking baby. Biggest mind frick I’ve ever had. The whole experience was as advertised “the best, worst school I’ve ever attended”.
