Then, why didn't they just bring it directly to the family? Why did the influencer have to go get it?

Certainly the influencer was behind a $5000 reward for an old jacket. He saw this as a way to make a viral video. And it probably worked out for him. I can’t see the family handing out $5000 for this. Dad would probably be pissed.

Influences have sponsors and funds for stuff like this. The family probably reached out to him.
