At years end Johnson had the staff maximized. He did a great job. Arms were live. Every member including Skenes improved.

Jay took over a lot of duties. Some people noticed that Jay started making the mound visits around the Georgia series. We came to find out that Wes was interviewing for jobs around that time. Right before Hurd made his turnaround Jay made comments that he was going to totally change Hurd’s mental approach and it worked, something clicked.

I think Wes is a good coach, but all indications point to Jay pressing the right buttons at the end of the season.

Some of y’all have short memories.

ETA: I’m not ready to say Yeskie is an upgrade. Just saying Jay deserves more credit for the turnaround at the end of the season. Wes had already accepted a new position and wasn’t making mound visits.

Yeah, OP is just being ridiculous. Wes Johnson is a phenomenal pitching coach that was instrumental in our national title. I hope he doesn't end up dominating as a HC in our league.

I think Yeskie looks solid on paper, but saying he's an upgrade of Wes Johnson is absurd at this point.
