re: Insurance agent cost me thousands

I was trying to make a long story short. The letter from the DMV says insurance canceled on 5/23/20. That's it. It says nothing about a lapse. The insurance company in question has already sent me a letter of experience, I had no lapse. The insurance company I'm with now can't find a record of a policy going back to 5/13/20, only to 7/09/21. I was definitely paying for auto insurance during that time, guaranteed. Finally got ahold of my agent who says, "It's an easy fix" but he hasn't fixed it. The guy did something, I don't know what, to mess something up. And yes I know I was covered during that missing year and a half.
