They actually are there is plenty of info on it online. The bigger problem is we don't have viable alternatives yet More than half of the electric cars on roads worldwide are found in China. The country was also responsible for 35% of global EV exports in 2022. In fact, Chinese automaker BYD sold more electric vehicles than Tesla in Q4 2023
And what’s providing the electricity for those electric cars? I’ll give you a hint.
China has over 1,100 coal powered electric plants and they’re building more as fast as they can.
NPR 2023: China is building six times more new coal plants than other countries, report finds
China gets 70% of its energy from Coal
If you’re wanting to reduce CO2 emissions, it doesn’t matter how many electric cars you drive when your power grid is based on burning coal.

It all started with heat index and wind chill. Weather folks love telling us that it "feels" like 95 due to heat index.

But their electric grid is a mixture of coal and other sources, so the EV is still less emissions than burning gas.
Also, as I pointed out with them building the world's largest solar farm, your statement that they are doing "nothing" to cut emissions was bullshite. Their percentage of electricity that comes from coal has already gone down since that 2021 study.. Also, newer coal plants can reduce emissions by being more efficient than older coal plants.
We aren't going to 0 fossil fuel usage in any of our lifetimes
