Odunze is pretty f-ing good, too.

I get really wary of guys who have "contested catch ability" at the top of their scouting report. That's usually code for "too slow to get open in the NFL".

It's a fair point. His 40 will be huge for him.

Not the case with Odunze. He was so good with 50-50 balls, his QB would be willing to throw to him on those because he trusted him that much.

Matt Harmon isn't concerned about Odunze's ability to get open at all, hes a phenomenal route runner. Hes a fantasy guy but really good about WR film breakdowns and is right far more often than he is wrong about guys. Says you really gotta watch film because some guys have a lot of contested catches but its because of the offense moreso than the player sometimes, and thats the case with Odunze.

Through 3 games scouting MHJ, Nabers, and Odunze, he said he had the same grade on Odunze as he did MHJ and Daniel Jeremiah does as well.

Things I like the most:

Ability to separate as a route runner
Use of hands to catch the ball instead of the body

Contested catches is probably next, but DBs are so good in the NFL that I don’t feel like there are that many crazy contested catches per game.
