And that's not an insult. There are plenty of doctors, lawyers, etc. who can't run their own business, either.
The whole point of my OP was about scaling up within a trade being a great option, so of course I am going to talk about that. I never said that doing so is a viable path for the majority.

That is a great option only for those with the capability of being a businessman. The trade part is wholly irrelevant.
In fact, if you're capable of building that and hustling as a business owner, there are much better options for product than trade shops, both in terms of risk and margin.
