When corporations impose a nanny state too many of you just accept it, whereas if the government required this in all commercial vehicles to improve traffic safety everyone would be up in arms. In the last ten years, the level of surveillance Americans unquestionably accept from corporations has become more concerning than what the government does. If you can't see that, you have your head in the damn sand.

You can blame personal injury attorneys for this one. Commercial vehicles get absolutely arse fricked in court for minor fender benders. These programs are expensive and only money out because they only need to prevent a couple claims from hitting the max to pay for themselves.
