Florida State psychology department did a study in which men and women were asked to imagine their significant other was in a sexual relationship with someone else BUT did not love them (physical affair) and then imagine the significant other WAS IN LOVE with someone else BUT WAS NOT having sex with them (emotional affair)
The study found that women 2 to 1 were more jealous about an emotional affair than sexual and it was the exact opposite for men.
They explained it from an evolutionary psychology perspective that men were more concerned about a sexual relationship because a man can never be 100% certain that if she gets pregnant it's his kid. Women know a man who is in love with her will be more likely to support her and her kid.

Women want and need as many levers as possible to attempt to keep a man in their control.
My answer to the survey would be the inverse: “Either”. Most real men wouldn’t put up with either compromise of commitment.

If you don’t understand that about women or don’t care to, you will be that 55-year-old guy in the club with his shirt too tight.
