I identify much more with the Hill Country vibe lifestyle than LA

It’s cool but the lack of greenery and food sucks. Food is bland, it doesn’t really have identity. Doesn’t know if it wants to be southern or Mexican.

Good luck finding decent Italian food.

Ironically some of the best Italian I’ve had in a while was in the Hill Country.

Gennaro’s in canyon lake.

I will say I don’t quite get the appeal of the hill country. Maybe I’ve been to the wrong parts of it but looking around there I couldn’t imagine seeing it and saying “Yep, this is the place I want to live out the rest of my days.”

It depends. Where I live yeah, the food definitely isn't as good as LA. But Houston, Austin are just fine food wise.

As for the greenery, it's pretty green here until summer.

The drought the last few years has been rough.

But, I don't miss flooding, hurricanes, constant humidity, etc. We get a bit of seasons. At least more than S. LA.

Mostly, I like that I'm not surrounded but worthless criminals and it's not flat.
