30+ years seems like a lot. But honestly this kind of shite won't stop until there are actual, real penalties for doing it. When normally all you get is losing your job, probation, and a little public embarrassment, it isn't going to dissuade anybody. Maybe sentences like this will make teachers think twice in the future. For all intents and purposes, her freedom in her adult life/career is over.
