I dont know ur exact circumstances- and i was at that game, it was incredible- but wouldnt it have made more sense to , when you get hired and are discussing your start date- if you had just said “Yeah im able to start on ____ (the Tuesday after that LSU/Texas game weekend)? Ive never started a job where it wasnt discussed what day/week id be available to start work, that would be feasible for myself and for the employer .
