I think he knows if true justice and the truth prevail, it will... but I don't know that he assumes it will. He is at war with these Deep State and lib elites. He's not backging down and he won't. I think he knows it could ultimately mean his life and he is still fighting. He's an alpha dawg. They picked the wrong one if they just expected him to roll over and give up.
