I will add you to the delusional group. Van Lith is the favorite whipping girl of the Rant. She is no Alexa Morris but who is. We were spoiled with just how good Morris was last year. HVL is not the reason we lost either of the last 2 games. She struggled early in the season, but has been adequate in our league games. Depth, turnovers, and clutch plays at the end of both games are what I saw as the problem.
The sky is not falling. We did not play terrible and could have won both games. The other team made clutch plays at the end of both games and we didn't.
The SC game was affected by Angel fouling out, Williams having a terrible shooting night and and SC making 2 clutch 3s at the end of the game. Van Lith was not the defender on either 3. Turnovers hurt us. Van Lith had 3 turnovers for the game which is not bad for a point guard.
The Miss St game was affected by another below average game by Williams, and Morrow to a degree (Morrow missed a layup at the end of the game when we were down by 3). We had 21 turnovers in the game. Van Lith only had 3. Rebounding was about even; we should have rebounded better. Miss St made clutch baskets at the end of the game and we didn't. Miss St was hungry. We were flat after the big SC game.
Both losses were team losses and 1 player should not be the scapegoat. Morrow and Williams are great players and I am not down on either. Van Lith is not as good as either of them, but she is not the reason we lost.

This…..our league losses are much more attributable to Morrow and Williams disappearing basically in league play and not running the offense through Reese at pivotal points in the game and her fouling out vs SC didn’t help.
Reese isn’t perfect by any means but she’s the closest thing to a sure basket in the paint that LSU has.

. We were flat after the big SC game
