What would be cheaper: purchasing a PS5 or upgrading an existing gaming desktop that was purchased secondhand for $700 4 years ago? I want to play the new FFVII and maybe Baulder’s Gate?

Would really need to know the exact components in that PC to better understand what should be replaced and what could be reused in a new build.
At worst you’d want to replace a mobo, CPU, and GPU which would cost around $500-700… but luckily FFVII and Baldurs Gate are not super demanding.

The new FF7 is PS5 only till at least end of may, and likely the fall or even 2025.
If that's the game you want to play, i wouldn't get a laptop.
