I figured it out. I never knew her but, was friends with her mother in high school. Also know her father.

Was her mom as hot as well?

Lea's Pies in LeCompte
It's a shell of it's former self. The pies, sammiches and extra's were top notch back in the 50's, 60's 70's and early 80's. Sorry y'all missed out. Was a stop on the way to B.R and back if it wasn't closed.

I like to drive HWY 71 south a couple of times per year from CenLa to krotz springs, and it is the same way. Lecompte, Cheneyville, Lebeau all appear to be all but gone. Only Bunkie appears to be thriving. I still enjoy driving that route, though.

Stelly’s stays busy.

Tallulah and Lake Providence were the front runners on this. When machinery replaces labor, this usually happens.

"Hall Summit barely exists now. At one point it had a high school, a town with some stores, and even a pretty nice dress shop. Now, I see pictures of the old high school completely abandoned and run down on the La Abandoned Buildings FB page. It's very sad."

I grew up there, played ball in that old gym. It was built as a WPA project. I still have my old yearbooks. I was hoping for a resurgence somehow, some way - maybe by folks working remotely attached to Barksdale. Sadly, I think it's beyond salvaging and now the earth is gonna swallow it up!
