To be fair, Maravich put up those numbers against only white competition in college
Am I missing something? lol
“Pete Maravich of Louisiana State moves in for a basket against Tulane's Harold Sylvester in New Orleans, Feb. 10, 1969.”

According to LSU's archives, Pete scored 66 against Tulane (and Harold Sylvester) that night.

I was half joking but since you guys are so serious, how many black players did he play against in the SEC? You know, where he faced the majority of his competition.
I love Pistol Pete but when people bring up his college achievements you do have to take that into account. He was awesome in the NBA as well but that's around where his dad should have been and not 44 points a game. Anybody hanging on to that is diluted if they think he could do that in the modern era with integrated basketball
