I haven't said anything contrary to this.

You're the one that answered a question of mine back in the Covid day about the age when C19 overtook the flu for being more lethal for people that weren't already gravely unwell. As I recall your answer was somewhere between 35-40. There were a lot of good discussions about Covid/Covid response on this board, and I'm not revising history in suggesting that Covid response as we got it was never rational given what was known in real time.

I don't recall the discussion, but the 35-40 number would probably be dead on. The problem was threat of asymptomatic transmission to the >50y/o population juxtaposed with overrun hospitals.
