Someone will have to explain to me the benefit of having someone like Crews start out the season in AA rather than the bigs.

Might as well let him get his timing down.
He finished last year at AA batting a brisk .208, with an unCrews-like .318 OBP, and a mere .278 SLG with a sample size of 85 plate appearances.
He needs to earn a promotion, not awarded it based on potential.
