I was a huge Bourdain fan. I remember sitting in my office at work when I found out he died and was just floored. As time has went on I revist his work alot and have changed a little on him. He really was a pretenious arse. He tried to come off like he wasnt but he most definately was. This leads me to the belief that he played a part on tv but in real life he was likely someone I wouldnt care to be around. I may be wrong but its kind of where Ive landed with him. Still love his shows.

This. I like his work and am a huge No Reservations fan, but the dude was an a-hole.

This opinion of him was generally only held by folks incapable of spelling the words pretentious or definitely. Lawd!
