No, the trench warfare example had to do with being thought of as the opposite of hunting. Trench warfare was between two warring sides with perhaps equal chances of being killed . That is not happens when a human has a gun and the target is not endangering anyone or most of the time not bothering anyone. Or maybe some of you believe a deer is cunningly planning to sneak around and attack you from behind.

You people remind me of the nutcases who like to take pictures of bison 5 feet from them in Yellowstone. Once again, total ego! At least in those cases which are being univerally condemned the animals aren't harmed.

I don't have antlers or any other sort of trophy hanging in my house, but I like venison more than I do beef. I also like eating rabbits and squirrels.

Unfortunately, My market doesn't carry those things. I also grow my own vegetables. Absolutely none of these things have anything to do with ego.
