I made a comment in another thread that buying a house in the Heights, River Oaks, or Montrose is dumb to do in Houston. If you just go 10 miles west to like Briarwood, they're very affordable

I don't think that area of Houston, Briarwood or Briar Forest, and Kenner are really comparable. Briar Forest is nicer than Kenner. I mean it's right next to energy corridor and Memorial Hospital Center.
