How do you spell Michelle?
You actually make an excellent point, even if unintentionally. Michelle could and probably would be labeled, for literal political ad campaign purposes, “the incumbent.”
The voters will certainly have heard before an expression of some wording that Biden was/is “four more years of Obama.” And at the time it would’ve been intended as a positive concept. That any hesitation or concern about Biden being unqualified in certain aspects could be relieved with the idea that he would refer back to the policies and demeanor of the smooth talking Obama and his right hand man, Michelle (ok, a silly gibe there but impossible to pass on). The thought, from their perspective, being that BO was so beloved that just Biden’s association with him as VP should and would instill a sense of “confidence” and “security” where Biden was coming up short selling it himself.
And then there’s the popular notion that Obama (the Obamas) have actually in practice, in reality, counseled and advised Biden and his administration.
Long story short, “Biden is four more years of Obama is four more years of Biden.” That same association they believed was dunking on folks before would now set them up to be dunked on.
