Comparing what Texas A&M did is apples and oranges different than what Florida State and Ole Miss did.
Texas A&M spent all of that money on high school players (which everyone is doing now). Florida State and Ole Miss bought a lot of older proven transfers.

OM is usually a flash in the pan….they usually beat the little boys and lose to the big boys….Every blue moon they beat up on one of the big boys….They have only won 1 natty in any sport
