You're trying to delegitimize contingency fees in the hypothetical "loser pays" system.
But the post I'm replying to makes it seem like you're trying to delegitimize them in all scenarios.

In the normal course, a losing plaintiff pays nothing, while defense fees originate from the defendant. If the defendant loses though, all legal fees (plaintiff and defense) come from the defendant.
Plaintiff legal fees flow straight from the defendant's wallet to the ambulance chaser's pocket. They are never in the plaintiff's possession. The plaintiff never touches them. Claiming the defendant is not paying the plaintiff's legal fees under those circumstances is simply dishonest.
