There’s no good way to go. Trace is slow because speed limit is 50 and they’ll burn your arse for speeding 5 mph over.
I go to Tremont and go north to Red bay and get on 24 to Decatur. It’s a 4 lane and goes middle of nowhere so you can haul arse most of the way and not get pulled over

No need to go to Tremont any more. Hwy 25 just past Fulton is now 4 lane and connects to the Hwy 24 four lane where it used to end at the State line.
