Last year was awful. Worse than it should have been.

I agree that 2 SEC wins was terrible, but I do also think the preseason projection of us finishing mid conference and on the NCAAT bubble was a terrible prediction. I think it was largely based on unfounded hype for Adam Miller and a hope that Juice Hill and Trae Hannibal would be bigger contributors. KJ was billed as an all conference player (which he was obviously), but it's unreasonable to expect your best player to have to drop 30 and 10 just to have a close game.

Talent wise that team last year was FAR worse than our current team. Mentally speaking that team was filled with quitters who gave hardly any effort. Juice Hill and Kendal Coleman are probably the worst players I've had the displeasure of watching suit up for LSU. Justice Williams wasn't much better either.

Xs and Os wise we ran plenty of plays to get Adam Miller open shots, he just couldn't convert. Cam Hayes would get open and show flashes, but he couldn't regularly execute. I do think McMahon also should have played Tyrell and Shawn more, don't really know why he didn't. Also rotationally speaking starting Cam Hayes at SF was terrible but I do think it was more so out of need than out of desire especially with Mwani being injured (I don't think he's nearly the same player since his injury unfortunately).

Long story short I think that roster was dogshit and the locker room wasn't bought in and no matter what we weren't sniffing an NCAAT or NIT
