LSU is probably mid pack as far as money goes among other high ranking schools ..not saying LSU can’t bid with the best but you’ve got to have lots of bank to compete and pay these kind of players..welcome to the college version of free agency in college sports.. highest bidder wins…

Unfortunately, recruiting as we have known it for decades, has very little to do with anyone going anywhere.
Recruiting for the star players these days is simply an auction or an unmonitored bidding war.
Sometimes, when the money is close, a player will stay in his home state.
Quite frankly, for most teams, others with seemingly unlimited $, like Ga. apparently, coaching ability is going to be more important than ever. Coaches are going to have to identify potential early and be able to coach 3* players up to 4-5* play level.
I am afraid LSU is one of those schools that will have to be better at that rather than buying the star players, either out of HS or the portal.
