I love all the Alien movies, even Prometheus and Covenant. I actually thought Covenant was a better "Alien" movie than Prometheus. Anything with xenomorphs in it makes me happy. That being said, this seems like really good idea for the tv series. The Prometheus-style origin story was weak.

I’m just realizing that James Franco now really died for nothing in the opening to Covenant.
