What constitutes a hit? Not every player is going to be a star.
How does this compare with the ratios of other coaches? Lower/higher? Need this for a true comparison
Obviously, I can't spend an incredible amount of time on the comparison part. But I can give you specifics about who I called "misses"
K Wilson, J Jackson, C Okeke, D Johnson, J Brazil, J Boutte, J Castell, S Densor, D Moore, T Abrams, A Gates, A Jean, K Jones, M Seisay, D Hammond, Z Sheffer, N Jenkins, G Brown, S Smith, K Makaneole -- have no idea who any of these people are! hideous misses IMO
K Toliver - never learned how to look back for the ball
J Stevens - tweener between LB and S...couldn't play either
E Ricks - a-hole
S Ryan - not SEC starting caliber
E Paris, X Lewis, C Lewis - mediocre
K Joseph - disciplinary nightmare
E Monroe - overrated
T Harris - no talent
L Welch - physically weak
M Hampton - not a football player
D Voorhies - I would rather have signed Jason
M Bain - disciplinary issue or total bust
R Jones - not FBS caliber
J Kirklin - contributed little
R Robinson - underperformed
I think that is the ones recruited by Raymond that IMO were bad misses...that is ton of misses. IMO, he only hit on half that many. And BTW, the poster who made up the entire list of Raymond recruits giving him credit for the hits like Tre White, etc. If you give credit to the hits, you have to blame him for the many misses.

So you’re blaming him because he recruited some players that didn’t turn into All Americans?
How does this compare to other programs during this timeframe?
It is clear you’re not very familiar with LSU’s roster and recruiting, as you have no idea who K Makaneole is, he is an OL currently on LSU’s roster.
You have no idea who Savion Smith is? 5 star who was good enough to transfer and start at Bama and was an NFL draft pick. He was a casualty of LSU compliance’s ridiculous marijuana policy.
You list Jacoby Stevens as a miss, a guy whose development was hindered by position changes and injuries, yet still became a significant contributor on a national championship team and played at LSU for all 4 years.
Mo Hampton was a significant contributor on a NC team as a true freshman, before the mass exodus post-2019 when he got the idea that he could get paid faster if he was an MLB draft pick.
Kevin Tolliver was a starter and decided to chase money in the NFL before he was ready.
Kelvin Joseph was so undisciplined that he started multiple years at Kentucky and became an NFL draft pick.
Can you go through Bama or UGA’s roster and show us the “hits and misses”?
I’d wager the number of “misses” are similar
