The rest of the world handles the cold like a champ. Society doesn’t shut down.
And so, working parents are punished because they have to manage childcare AND work. Or take the day off or pay someone to watch their child. All of this cost is born by the parents and the school system DGAF because they got our tax money to keep them warm and happy on this free paid vacation day off.
