Mavericks shot 20 more 3’s than us

Their entire offensive philosophy going into the season was an emphasis on spamming 3s. So they're consistently shooting it all year.

We beat this team shooting 38 in the last matchup when the starters played and they decided it wasn't a point of emphasis today.

But we aren't shooting it at a high clip. We are bottom 3 (28th) in the league averaging 31 attempts perngame.

The emphasis may have been to attempt more 3's, but the core players on our tram are not high volume 3 point shooters.

We have amazing shooters as role players but the majority of shot attempts are coming from BI, Zion, and Jonas. Neither one of those three are high volume shooters.

We also have key low volume shooting role players in Jose, Herb, Dyson, and Nance. The roster just isn't built to take a lot of 3's.

The interesting stat is we shoot the 3 ball fairly well collectively at 38%.

It's a flawed roster that doesn't take a lot of threes and has a defense that is built around giving up a lot of 3s (as opposed to shots at the rim).

How many more would we get up trading Ingram and starting Trey and giving Hawkins more minutes?
