EBR closed tomorrow

My kids' school follows EBR and it's fricking maddening that they look for excuses to close. Can we at least wait to see if there is actual ice on the roads before a decision is made?

The precip, if we get any, will be later this evening or overnight.

The days of school getting canceled at 5:30 am before the bus routes started is over, for better or worse.

Tons of parishes announced in the same 30/45 minute timeframe, so it’s safe to say that it was a centralized decision.

Meanwhile, people like you will also bitch about last minute closures. 42000 students in EBR, 5000 employees. Many employees live in surrounding parishes, meaning commuting in adverse conditions and dealing with school closures at home. EBR should always close early, if necessary.

Ever heard of black ice? It's quite dangerous and we're not accustomed to it down here nor equipped to deal with it.
