When Saban left LSU for the NFL, we understood the reasoning behind the relatively amicable breakup.

When he lied & went to Alabama, it was like our ex-GF moving in with & marrying your grandfather. Hostility ramped up 1000%.

Now, that they are separated, the get-togethers won't nearly be as venomous.

This is accurate, along with the hate being compounded by born and raised in Louisiana “lifelong” Alabama fans coming out of the woodwork when they hired him.

I was actually pretty ambivalent about Alabama before Saban went there.
