The next decade for LSU Football

My expectations for LSU have drastically increased. All the talk about LSU is a sleeping a giant should be over. Never want to hear it again for the next decade. In all seriousness, BK is under so much pressure. If we all believe what LSU should be, the time is now. It’s time to wake up the giant. BK is the right man for the job. The cult of Kelly.

BK was going to win a championship in the next 2-3 years with or without Saban in the SEC. Multiple nattys by 2030

bama will still be a formidable team just like LSU has been but at least you are not looking at the other sideline knowing you are at a disadvantage on x and o
another thing that helps is no more divisions
LSU always had to win the west to even be in contention for anything else hence the reason the bama/lsu game always was so important
now lsu can function outside of what bama does in this 12 team format
uga got to win a natty without having to play bama last year, lsu never got that luxury

BK may retire after he wins his natty. Hopefully, we do not take a drop off with the next coach after BK.

I am more worried about the coach after that coach.

The guy they get now will put them lower than they have been for 15 years. It's going to be pretty hilarious when people realize that Nick Saban was Bama just like Bear Bryant was Bama back in the day. Bama's culture with Saban never changed despite a million coordinators running in and out of his system. His rehab system for former reprobate coaches made several programs very happy too.
I laughed my arse off when people thought Bama would actually get Lanning. Lanning is not dumb. His situation at Oregon is way better than it would be at Bama. After the new coach takes the shine off the Saban mystique of Bama, they will be just another blueblood trying to get back on top. The guy after will have to be willing to rebuild, but it will be easier to take the chance on them once they've had a few 9-3/8-4 seasons.
However if you look at who's in the SEC, and what Kelly is doing to his staff (heavily Louisiana centric, highest pay at their positions), he's looking and holding on to most of this group for 3-4 years and building a championship level program, not team. The 2025 and 2026 classes could both finish #1 in the country with this staff. We are also trying to fix our NIL collective.
LSU is about to go on a run. Oklahoma will be good, Texas will be close to elite, and UGA will be elite, but Kelly is trying to be the next dynasty.

I think it's fair to say LSU is a pretty awake giant.
We are maybe the second most successful team of the past 20 years.

LSU is a wide arse awake giant. Knocking down nattys and now Heismans. Just had the goat season in cfb history a few years back. If LSU is sleeping giant then what are Penn State and Tennessee? In a damn coma? How about Nebraska? Straight up dead?
LSU had a few down years after Coach O got drunk at the wheel and passed out but BK has the program back on track. Adults are in charge and they are playing for keeps. Is LSU going to build a dynasty like bama had with Saban? Of course not. I don't think we'll ever see a run like that again with NIL, portals, expanded playoffs, etc. But LSU will continue to get theirs.

The state of the county is very bad and this is what you want to focus on?
