I live here and we house poor. All my kid’s friends live in $2mm+ houses. We had to break the news to her she ain’t getting a Range Rover when she turns 16.

The amount of high-dollar infill in Indian Hills, Atlanta Country Club, and Chattahoochee Plantation is staggering.

Range Rover at 16? Even my era (early 2000s) wasn’t that nuts

Chicks got brand new bmws at Walton.

I was driving around a piece of shite Jeep with no ac. Well maybe not a complete piece of shite. It made it to Baton Rouge. Gas mileage was terrible though even for back then.

And I never felt Indian hills was upscale. It was always kind of a meh country club. My hs weed dealer lived in there.

I didn’t want to say my year because I did a quick search and there are pictures of me at 17 plastered on the internet by just searching George Walton and my class year.

Yeah, it was BMW/Lexus for my year, though most were likely their parents' old ones (which were still relatively new). One girl had a Land Rover but it wasn't the "I'm a cheerleader with loaded parents that bought me a huge new white Range Rover on my 16th birthday" type.

A lot of the original early 70s ranch homes are getting knocked down for $1.5-2M McMansions. The club itself is still pretty much upper-middle class.

We did too. About where the Walmart is on Barrett used to be all woods and we would 4wheel back in there.

Has Harrison and West Cobb gotten that bad?

No.

Harrison is still a very good school.
