Im not so sure, oregon can match just about any money bama can. And they arent that much further down the prestige ladder

If you are Lanning why in the holy hell would you leave?
Oregon has made the national title game with two different head coaches in the last 15 years. It’s not difficult at all to win there, they will lmatch whatever bama can pay, you don’t have to start over, and you don’t have to be in the shadow of the ultimate legend
It just doesn’t make any sense to me but these coaches often make decisions I never would
