If you consider John Wick to be absurd, you should've fallen off the couch laughing at 70 year old Denzel running through a rooms of gangsters. The Wick movies are supposed to be over the top and leans into the absurd. The Equalizer movies are paint by numbers action movies that take themselves too seriously. I wasn’t arguing that the Equalizer series is better. I even said I’ve only seen the first one.

I liked it fine but it was nothing special really. And honestly it felt like Denzel was a little too God-mode for my liking. Like he had everything go off without a hitch over and over. I need to watch the 2nd and 3rd for a fair comparison. I was imply saying that the Wick movies weren’t really my thing.
