with traditional media we are still dealing with unsourced and unreliable nonsense, so who cares if they are anonymous or not? they are immune to any repercussions, so it's functionally the same as the internet.

That’s flat out incorrect. Right now you can watch live broadcast of Hunter Biden making an appearance in a Congressional hearing and MTG freaking out.
