It's really hard to judge because of the times. Has there ever been a car that was as far ahead of the field as RB19 was? How much of his dominance last was him versus the car?

I think he's a solid top 3 all time and could prove himself as the goat in the next year or two.

The 1998 McLaren duo lapped 3rd place in the first race of that season.

Another Newey engineering marvel

mp4/4 won 15/16 races. Mercedes a few years back were close.

With the dominance of the car you have to look at how close their teammates are. And Max makes Checo look like Latifi most races

Given that Checo isn't completely dominating, that seems to suggest a large part of it is Max's driving.

Also, I wasn't following but from what I gather that Mercedes with Hamilton/Hulkenberg is an example of a true dominant car.

in the 95 Australian GP, Damon Hill lapped the entire field. TWICE. Much of this was because of so many retirements. Newcomers to F1 don't realize how amazing the reliability is today. In 92 Nigel mansel became the first driver to win 9 races out of 16 and had 4 DNFs. That would be 6 for Max last year. Of the races max didn't win, last year, he finished 5th once and 2nd twice. The field is normally 1-2 sec from first to 20th. That's insane compared to f1 history when teams tried to stay within 5 or 6 secs of pole to just be allowed to race
